Why the Easter Bunny?

So Easter is tomorrow, and I have always wondered what the deal is with the Easter bunny. I’m not a veterinarian or a psychologist, but on any other day of the year, if somebody told me a bunny left eggs in the yard,  I would be concerned for their sanity. So, in case you ever wondered where the whole Easter bunny idea came from, here it is -

The Origin and History of the Easter Bunny
Easter is one of our most popular holidays, second perhaps only to Christmas. The most endearing figure of Easter is of course the Easter Bunny. But where does the Easter Bunny come from? Why does he hide eggs and chocolate for children to find?

Deleted Scenes

Recently after watching a movie, I decided to check out the "Deleted Scenes" at the end, which, as usual, turned out to be a waste of time. If it wasn’t good enough to even make it into the crappy movie I watched, I don;t know why I thought it would be worth my time.

However, watching these got me to thinking. Often, these scenes help the audience to understand the background behind the overall story, and may even represent a vital part of the character’s biography. Without whatever might have happened in these scenes, the characters we watch and love (or hate) in our movies may never have become who we know them to be.

I think that, as Christians, our sins our like the deleted scenes in our own story. Without the mistakes that I have made and the discipine of the Lord that often follows, I may not have become who I am today, and I may have not been prepared to avoid making bigger mistakes in the future. God has allowed our sins, but, when we come to know Him, he takes them out of our narrative entirely. They may have shaped who I am, but, in the end, He makes it as if they never even happened, and I never have to re-visit them again.
